DMS in the aroma with some coffe in the background. The taste is mostly coffee and some DMS. And a little chocolate. Some of flavours and a little rough in the edges. Decent but not more.

Light brown foam. Good aroma of hard roasted malt, coffee and licorice. Mouth feeling is bold and the taste is first dominated by licorice and medium coffee, but finally fills hop bitterness slightly more. A robust porter who still has a mild and somewhat cautious approach to the basic taste elements I expects the type. Good comfortable and dry aftertaste. If you do not like porter and stout but would like to learn from them, then this is a good place to start. It has it all, but in a gentler and more rounded shape.

Copenhagen 13/6 2015. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Pours dark brown - almost black - with big beige head. Settles very slowly to 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Distinct aroma of coffee and licorice. Soft carbonation. Taste is sweetish with a little caramel nicely balanced by light bitterness which lingers in the aftertaste. Fine but not extraordinary porter.

Bottle, 50cl. Pours dark brown colour with small, gentle brown head. Sweet roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, toffee with ripe dark fruits in a light smokey body. Taste likewise, dark fruits, roasted malt, liquorice, raisins, Dry, medium bitter long aftertaste. Thick body and mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Strong and powerful with great balance. For 2 euro beer, its quite amazing.

Drinking from a 500 ml bottle. A nice, soft, chocolate, coffee aroma. This looks like fluid chocolate. The unclear black beer has a medium brown head. Roast malt in the taste. Full bodied mouthfeel. High carbonated.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2014 Bottle branded as "Thisted 6 Porter", 7.0% ABV, from local supermarket. Pours dark brown with creamy brown head. Smell is sweet malts, ripe fruits, raisins. Aroma is, burnt malts, smoke, soot. Bitter burnt BBQ taste, astringent on the palate. Overall, very one-dimensional, far too much unbalanced roast. Barely drinkable.

Dark brown body with a very short-lived, light brown head that leaves some lacing on the IKEA red wine glass I found in the cupboard of our rented summer house. A bit faint aroma that is dry and dusty, with roasted notes and chocolate. The flavour is stronger, I get coffee and dark roasted malt, cigarette, a good dose of fruits, bitter marzipan and alcohol. Moderate sweet taste that dries up a lot in the moderate bitter finish. Smooth mouthfeel, mid-bodied and soft to moderate carbonation. Not bad.
[50 cl bottle, enjoyed 9 months before BB date, from Spar Lnstrup, Jylland, Denmark]
