COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Available in 500ml bottles.
NOTE: Although named as "Thistly Cross Original Cider 7.2% (Sparkling)" on the producer’s website, the word "Original" does not appear on the bottle labels. Also note that the bottle labels do not clearly indicate whether it is the Still or Sparkling version (which are different).

Our 7.2% Farmhouse Cider is smooth, refreshing and Thistly Cross’ first born. It’s a classic, farmhouse cider made with a blend of Scottish apples. The 6 month maturation makes it refreshing, smooth & fruity.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with steady bubbles and a very thin head. Nose - sweet synthetic apples. Taste - more of the same. Too sweet to be wholesome. Palate - light bodied with a light creamy texture and a tangy finish which could be cleaner. Overall - generally synthetic.

Bottle. Pale gold with minimal carbonation. Aromas are juice of and pulpy stewed apple with hints of honey. Lightly woody with floral aspects. Flavours are sweet apple juice with apricot jam and honeyed, spicy notes. Pulpy fruit with a viscous palate and boozy but not overpowering alcohol. A bit too sweet but OK.
