Cask at the haymarket. Pours pale gold with no head. Aromas of sweet apples, light alcohol heat. Taste is sweet too. Sweet finish. Ok.

Bag in Box @ Central Bar, JDW, Shepherds Bush W12. Pours a clear golden yellow color with a small fast disappearing white head. Has a fruity spicy apple aroma. Fruity spicy apple flavor. Has a fruity spicy and slightly dry apple finish.

Cask @ Old Post Office, Halifax. Straw-blond colour with a bubbly head. Lots of apple taste that lingers with the strength not as evident as it might suggest. Has a potent nose too.

Cask at Secklow Hundred (JDW), Milton Keynes. Mid-yellow, slightly hazy. A decent white head. This looks like a beer. And smells... off. Sour, buttery and greasy. The taste is infinitely better: a sweetish tang followed by a balanced sourness. The alcohol is warming on the way down. Brown sugar, rum and vanilla partner apple in the aftertaste. Passable.

50cl bottle from Provenance Wines. Appearance - amber with no head. Nose - not getting much apple but really big ethanol note. Taste - more of the same. No fruit but plenty of alcohol. Palate - not much body texture or refreshment. Just alcohol burn. Overall - really disappointed. This is my favourite style of cider but this bares no resemblance to anything I’ve had from the West Country.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2014 500ml bottle, Original Still 7.2%. Golden colour, fine ring of white foam and aroma of tart juicy apple. Taste is sweetish apple & apple skins with light vanilla notes & some tartness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable.

500ml bottle from Hippo Beers. Fruity ripened pear nose continuing to a high juice, appleade flavour. Very sweet, almost too much but still had me savouring that taste.
