COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cider is matured in Whisky Casks from Glen Moray Distillery. Just enough time passes for the cider to absorb the distinctive tones of the oak and Highland single malt.

Sweet apples, straw, very light whiskey. Clear gold, hardly any head. Light bitter. More sweet apples, molasses, lively carbonation, medium bodied, some more whiskey notes in the finish. Interesting Cider, the whisky notes could be more pronounced though. Bottle at Burger & Lobster, Canary Wharf.

Aroma:
Medium aroma of malts, caramel, honey, vanilla and apple.

Appearance:
Clear pale yellow beer with no/a slight white head.

Taste/Palate:
Medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, honey, vanilla and apple.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. How can the appearance be more clear than water, it looks like there is not even anything in the glass. The aroma and flavour are superb for a Cider however, probably thanks to that whiskey barrel.

Clear deep golden color with a small bubbly white head that soon vanish. Decent intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Moderate acidity. Oak, some whisky and typical apple cider flavor.

goudgeel licht sprankelend. Mooie halfzoete cider met fijne appel tonen, mooi aangevuld met honing en vanille van de vaten. erg smaakvolle combinatie.

Bottle, 500ml. *** Colour: Bright yellow golden, clear, no head. *** Nose: Intense sweet malts from the casks over sweet apples. Mild vinegar. *** Mouthfeel: Medium body, a bit watery still. Low carbonation. *** Taste: As in the aroma, sweet whisky malt is dominant at the start. This, and the sweetness of the apples are offset by a vinegar note in the background, which intensifies toward the middle. Still, the overall taste is very sweet. The actual oak from the casks isnt particularly prominent. Sweet apple-y finish, long aftertaste of whisky and ripe apples. *** Impressions: Definitely a treat for those who prefer sweet ciders. The whisky influence is stronger than expected, the oak much less noticeable than anticipated. Vinegar adds a healthy touch. Superior cider with depth and character, but not for everybody.

tmoreau (3928) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2016
Shared 16.9 oz. bottle poured to a snifter showing a clear & bright, light golden color, with a quick, white layer of modest foam, and light spots of lacing that also faded. The nose was floral, ripe apple & seeds, and a hint of whisky. Medium bodied, with low carbonation, the taste was sweet & sugary, with somewhat of a thin & watery texture. Some liveliness to the effervescence would have greatly helped.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a hazy pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out medium sweet apples along with subdued whisky. Flavour is likewise pretty mellow on the whiskey, with medium sweetness from the apples upfront, light apple skins, and fairly high residual sweetness, venturing into cloying territory. Would like more whiskey. Unexciting and lacking complexity, and too cloying, but easy to drink.
