Pours a deep golden brown on tap with fluffy white head that leaves light lace. Aroma is malt forward, caramel and biscuit, with a nice piney earth hop back end. Taste follows, nice balance of flavors but nothing stands out. Decent.

Bottle @ Lilla Puben, Kalmar. Malty and hoppy with caramel notes, fruity and quite sweet, grapefruit and pine needles, medium body and oily texture. The finish is dry and bitter with hoppy notes and caramel.

12 oz Bottle. Tasted on 6/27/14. Beer from Total Wine Tampa, FL. The aroma has some hops & pretty dry. The taste is pretty bland an average ipa overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber golden clear body capped by an off-white head. Floral, caramel and pine aromas. Malt and hop profiles produce good balance of flavors.

Backlog. Bottle at Tröls. One of my favourite American IPAs mostly because we’re not sacrificing any malt-aromas in order to bring forth the hoppiness.

undated 12 oz bottle served in a lager glass. Pours deep-amber. The tan head is large, creamy and thick for the style. Plenty of sticky lacing is left on the glass. Smell: Aromatic, with a surprising amount of bread dough mixed in with the floral/earthy hops and toasted malt. Rather malt forward for an IPA. T: The taste is rather malty, like the smell, but the spicy/earthy hops come through more. M: Medium bodied; nicely smooth; slightly dry finish. Excellent for style. O: A solid IPA coming from a reliable, if rather mainstream, brewer. Hoppiness will not satisfy some hop heads. {lightly revised with fresh bottle in Feb. 2014)

Caramel and grapefruit flavors, with only moderate hop bitterness. Hints of sour apples and toasted grain. Good flavors, just not enough of them. Very average IPA.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a semi-hazy dark amber color with a large, creamy, light tan head with good retention, cling, and lacing. Its aroma featured a blend of light caramel malt and sugar mixed with some earthy, grainy, and light citrus hop flavors. The beer was mostly bitter with flavors of grain and citrus, along with some straw and a lightly sweet maltyness. The beer had a fairly full mouthfeel with a thicker feel and was a bit dry with ample carbonation. Thank you to Siobhan for the Christmas present.

This is one of my favorite IPAs. Rich caramel flavors with a crisp citrusy hoppy taste at the end. Not overly hoppy and not incredibly alcoholic. A great session IPA.
