Poured from the tap at the brewery. The appearance is a brown color with a small white head. The aroma is malt and some hops. The taste is more malt than hops. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - MAY 25, 2016
UPDATED: MAY 25, 2016 Shared bottle. Clear golden with a medium, dense offwhite top. Malty aroma with some fruityness to it. Taste is quite malty as well. Flavors of caramel, grass and resin. Fairly balanced. Finishes moderate dry and bitter. Medium body and co2. Not your usuall IPA tho. heemer77 (5358) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUN 22, 2005
Dark gold body. The aroma had cedar, and reminded me of fresh mountain air. The taste had pine needles and bread crust. Refreshing tangerines. There is also a little light tobacco. Nice brew. slang (654) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - SEP 18, 2005
draught@ the saucer. Very good IPA, w/ fresh hops up front followed by sweet malt linger. Extremely easy considering the hop bite, grapefruits. Immy (1955) - Virginia Beach, USA - OCT 30, 2007
On tap at the Durham WBF. Clear gold with a white head. Nice lace. Citrusy and earthy with a mild caramel sweetness. Medium-full bodied. Good.

Draft sample at KBJ08. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy and earthy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and flat carbonation. Moderate bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. A solid beer. douglas88 (9195) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 3, 2009
Bottle thanks to tronraner, the last brew left from our trade unfortunately. Pours a clear copper color with a large white head and tons of lacing. The aroma is sweet grapefruit hops, some caramel also. The flavor is very nice; a smooth and flavorful citrus hop, mostly grapefruit, a lot of balance achieved by a biscuit like malt and some caramel. Very nice and quaffable. Starts off strong, good smell and color, but the flavor doesn’t match the intensity of the nose- it just dissipates too quickly. At Beerfest Miami 09 scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - MAY 5, 2009
Deep red, gummy thick head. Dry malt, brittle leafy hop aroma. Toasty, altogether average and tasty. Little leathery. brentfeesh (1208) - Mansfield, Ohio, USA - NOV 6, 2009
12 oz bottle. Small carbonation in an amber pour with a medium white head. Quite a malty aroma with a touch of citrus. Pine like flavors with a touch of spice. Malt is there just to make the hops less bracing. Fairly good. Medium body dry finish.
