Gerbeer (3754) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 19, 2017
330 ml bottle. Pours a reddish mahogany with moderate head. Aromas of buttery oak and sweet malts. Flavors of clean oak, raisins, and smooth toasted malts with a light bitter finish. Creamy and full. Very nice.

mariuspoenari (2692) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUN 13, 2017
33cl bottle. Clear dark amber pour with a light tan head. Notes of bourbon, vanilla, dried fruit, toffee, caramel, wood, very subtle smoke. Quite a complex beer, really nice. Smooth texture, light carbonation, mostly sweet finish.

Kleurplaatje (208) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 28, 2017
Pours dark brown with a minimal white head. Aroma is hops and fruits. Faint spicy kick. Not bad, but nothing special also. Taste is mildly sweetish, candy-like. Clear vanilla, some "bitterkoekjes" as well. Interesting. Aftertaste is mildly bitter with a sweetisch kick. Pretty balanced with some interesting tasty tones. Full bodied, sticky, bit oily texture. Far from bad brew. Not a tenner, but definitely worth a try.

TrefwoordPunk (1206) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - APR 14, 2017
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy mahogany with a small to medium and quickly fading yellowish beige head and an aroma of hops, citrus, heavy malts, esters, yeast, vanilla, brown sugar, bourbon, some slight coconut, chocolate cake and apple pie. The taste is heavy sweet with a very soft carbonation, a quite full body and an oily mouthfeel. Pretty nice, but not your average quadrupel....

DijkBier (398) - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - MAR 25, 2017
Second time to taste this great beer, and compare it to ’Kruistocht van Thomas’. Bottle pours dark brown with hardly tan head; less than the ’crusade’. Th aroma is, as its brother beer, very clearly wood/oak, vanilla, licorice, but a bit less sweet. Taste is super: wood, caramel, full, with a small freshness and a little bitterness, but indeed les sweetness than its brother. Very well balanced. Love it.

Color: amber, hazy Foam: brownish head that quickly fades away. Smell: caramel, nuts, burnt brown sugar, dried fruits, vanilla, oak, chocolate, little bit like aroma, some herbs.. Taste: rather sweet, honey, syrup, vanilla caramel, malty, nuts, dried fruits.. Creamy texture. slightly bitter. Alco well hidden - warms nicely at the end. Balanced beer. Try with different strong cheeses and be amazed how well they go together..
