The pour is interesting with a nice head. Aroma is watermelon (shock!) and malt. Not much hop at all. Medium to thin in body with a lot of carbonation. Flavor tastes like someone dropped a jolly rancher in my beer. I couldn’t even finish one 12 oz bottle of this. I give them credit for trying, but yuck.

Received 12-oz bottle from Mystery Swap. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates clean. Aroma of sugared candy suckers, a hint of candied lime, and some golden grain malt. Taste is medium bodied, with sweet candied watermelon sugar, some golden grain malt and some floral hops. Finish is quite sweet, pushing into the alcopop territory with a candy sugar aftertaste. It’s different.

Bottle sampled at LIC beer fest - arouma is actually pretty nice... the watermelon esters really come through (which makes me doubt that it’s the real fruit). Sweet caramel and a touch of acidity. Decent.

Bottle. Clear golden pour with standard white head. Aroma has lots of watermelon but is also very sugary. There’s a medicinal cherry syrup quality to the nose. Flavor is pretty sweet but thankfully not as sweet as expected given the nose. Watermelon juice and hops with a subtle hops finish. Light, crisp, and clean palate. Light and refreshing.

Pours a light golden color. Smells like a watermelon jolly rancher. Flavor is mainly malts and watermelon. Leaves a nice watermelon finish. One of the better watermelon beers I’ve had, if not the best.

I have seen this beer for a while and finally found a single to try. pour is golden in color with a covering of white head. aroma has watermelon jolly ranchers layered over a pale beer. mouth feel is light pushed by plenty of carbonation. flavor is not nearly as good as the smell. a light pale beer with a syrupy watermelon flavoring. I wish the flavor was half as good as the aroma.

Clear dark golden pour fizzy white head ... aroma is a little malty and a smack of candy watermelon like a jolly rancher ..... sweet candy watermelon and tart its crisp but hardly a hint of watermelon! more of a mixed drink feel than a beer but it looks the part .... reminded me of a jolly rancher candy not bad

I’m down for a good fruit beer every now and again, but nothing could have prepared me for this experience (maybe a little too over the top). It says a "hint" of watermelon, more like a smack in the face of watermelon. That added with the intense carbonation it’s almost like drinking a soda. Quite the drinking experience.

Aroma: Watermelon candy completely dominates the nose
Appearance: This one pours a clear golden-straw color
Flavor: Very sweet, really too sweet for my tastes
Palate: The body on this one is pretty light, but it is refreshing
Overall Impression: This one is good for fans of fruit beers (emphasis on fruit).

Bottle at the Governors Island BrewFest. If you like Watermelon Jolly Ranchers, you will love this beer. Pours reddish-brown with a foamy, white head. Big candy watermelon aroma. Super-sweet flavor, tastes just like a JR, with light tang. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes crisp, short and lightly sugary. A great fruit beer.
