Bottle at the Governors Island BrewFest. If you like Watermelon Jolly Ranchers, you will love this beer. Pours reddish-brown with a foamy, white head. Big candy watermelon aroma. Super-sweet flavor, tastes just like a JR, with light tang. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes crisp, short and lightly sugary. A great fruit beer.

Pours hazy golden canary with 1f white frothy head. Nose is fresh watermelon, mild hopcit. Tastesof watermelon, a bit cloying and syrupy, with some hopcitrus and a light finish.

12 oz bottle. Pale hazy yellow with a quickly dissipating pure white head. The smell of watermelon jolly ranchers wafts from the glass calling out "Ewwwww". I would hope for a more earthy watermelon. Luckily the flavor is more subdued. Just a hint of the fake melon of the nose. Body is thin and watery. A bit of fizz. A touch of tart in the short weak finish. Could make a killing selling this at a sorority house party.

12oz bottle in a flute glass. Pours clear, pale golden with a small, white head. Aroma exactly like that of watermelon hard candies. Very astringent when it hits your tongue (and into the finish), and although the watermelon flavor is not overpowering, it’s not really enjoyable. Light body, thin texture. I can see how some might like this, but it is not for me.

Sampled from a growler. It poured straw yellow with a thin fizzy, short lasting head and a little lacing. I smelled the watermelon aroma from a foot away from the glass it was so overpowering. Perhaps a small note of malts in the aroma too. The mouthfeel was fairly stable and not too thin with a hint of creaminess. The watermelon takes over the taste although there is something dryly hopped at the end. It is thin but it is there. This might be good on a very hot day if you want that added hint of fruit but it really is not my style.

Even though I am a fruit beer lover, I was a little hesitant to drink a watermelon beer because I tend to not like anything that smells like or is flavored like watermelon except a real watermelon. So, having said that, I was very surprised to find that the beer was really refreshing and light; perfect for a summer day. I thought the aroma was very similar to a watermelon Jolly Rancher (which I do not like) but the taste was much more subtle and enjoyable and not sweet. It was from a bottle and had absolutely no head with little carbonation- is that normal for this beer? Regardless, I liked it and would drink it again. I enjoyed this beer at Datz in Tampa with my husband and daughter.

Light copper with an average off-white head. Aroma is of watermelon jolly rancher and sugar. Taste is of cardboard, playdough, and a hint of watermelon jolly rancher.

Bottle during BQ10. Nice aroma of lively watermelons, taste is wheaty, watermelon, not offensive as I would have thought but still don’t think watermelon and beer are a good mix. Not nearly as big of a fail as 21st Amendments attempt @ this style.

Bottle. Pours a pink gold body with a thin white head. Candy like sweetness, grainy fruit body, green white end of watermelon, missing the lush fruit skin of the fleshy pink body. Thin simple, nothing special.
