Cask at Cross Scythes, Sheffield. Clear amber, no head. Distinct tinned apricots in syrup aroma! Taste is caramel, dried fruit initially. Ripe, boozy red fruit in there too. Big bosh of alcohol at the end. Good stuff. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2013

Euston Tap. Cask. Clear amber beer, good white head. Palate is soft and smooth. Sweetish malt, touch of toffee. Dried fruits and mild bubblegum ester. Something nutty. The back end has a little bitter aniseed, dry citrus and subtle apple. Semi dry and bittersweet finish. Lots going on here and it’s not unpleasant but is does feel disjointed. Plus I got a weird but strong Autumnal ’conkers’ vibe. Strange!
Cask at Euston Tap, London. An amber/golden coloured pour with a thin off white head on top. Sweet, boozy, fruity aroma. Tastes boozy, fruity, caramel, malty, slight sweetness. Hard to believe it is 9.3%, a decent drop. Theydon_Bois (19546) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 4, 2013
Cask at the Euston Tap, 03/04/13.
Clear golden amber with a thin beige cap which stays for the ride, good lacing ensues.
Nose is a little on the thin side, caramel fudge, brown sugars, light booze, dark malt, hint of dark fruits.
Taste comprises rich toffee, demerara sugar, pecan pie, dates, touch of booze.
Full bodied with fine carbonation, very smooth and drinkable for a 9% jobbie, warming alcohol in the finish.
Good stuff and probably the best looking and feeling BW I’ve come across! Leighton (21299) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2013
Cask at the Euston Tap - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma holds lots of alcohol-soaked fruits, berries, honey. Big sweet flavor, ripe apples, lightly oxidised malts, some faded leafy bitterness, booze, ripe and dry berries, bread. Full bodied with soft to fine carbonation. Warming finish, further ripe apples, some childrens’ Tylenol, dry and crunchy leaves, leathery fruits, berries. Actually drinks below its ABV, which is a bonus. Some interesting aspects here.
