Dark ruby red, with an orangey fruity malt character. The spicy, resinous, lemony Goldings absolutely sing through the beer combining beautifully with the malt, and the bitterness is powerful and lasting, punching through the residual sweetness.

stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - NOV 21, 2011
Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2011. Pours a clear and brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, caramel, fruit and biscuit. The flavor follows the nose with additional sweetness. The palate is sweetness with some bitterness. Overall an average beer.

Cask, The Greystones, Sheffield. Dense copper amber, creamy head. Balanced aroma, sweet caramel and coriander. Sweet, thick with a butterscotch and honey flavour that is challenged by a line and alcohol bitterness. Very nice.

Scopey (14768) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2011
Cask at CP&K. It pours deep mahogany brown, with a thick bubbly off-white head. The nose is wood, fruity berry, sherry/port and warming spice. The taste is chocolate, fruity tang, bitter-sweet, wood, big hop bitterness, sherry, raisin, fig, red grape, spice and alcohol warmth with a dry-woody finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A tasty, hoppy old ale. Interesting.

Martinus (4601) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - OCT 19, 2011
Clear amber beer, small off white head. Malty aroma, caramel. Flavour pretty sweet, light malt. Low carbonisation.

shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - OCT 8, 2011
Cask at Euston Tap. Dark amber/brown colour with small white head. Aroma is a bit stinky dish cloth funkiness and a bit malty. Taste is malty and creamy with an increasingly bitter finish. Slightly herbal element. Medium bodied and sightly oily and prickly in the mouth. Very nice.

BrotherLogic (252) - California, USA - OCT 7, 2011
For me this was chewy and malty to the max. Aroma was low, flavour was low but bitterness was high. Tough one but enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
