Cask at CP&K. It pours deep mahogany brown, with a thick bubbly off-white head. The nose is wood, fruity berry, sherry/port and warming spice. The taste is chocolate, fruity tang, bitter-sweet, wood, big hop bitterness, sherry, raisin, fig, red grape, spice and alcohol warmth with a dry-woody finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A tasty, hoppy old ale. Interesting. Christian (13923) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 15, 2011

Cask, gravity at Boreft Beer Festival, De Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands, 24.09.11 Pours amber with a slight orangey hue to it, good clarity. Initially quite spicy with little wafts of spiciness coming back down my nostrils. This is lovely, it has a great balance of bitter & sweetness, the Goldings hops come across really well lightly lemony but showing throughout. I really liked this it’s a collaborative corker from Thornbridge & Kernel! A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8 Svesse (8922) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - DEC 10, 2011
