Cask at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a ruby brown, fairly big off-white head. Aroma is malty, with some citrus and earthy hoppiness. Taste is more hop-based - very bitter with some raisins, spicy hops and some caramel notes. You get the feeling the beer gives those up almost begrudgingly - it’s very bitter, with a brash finish. Not really my thing because of that. Still very good. Scopey (15431) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2011
Cask at CP&K. It pours deep mahogany brown, with a thick bubbly off-white head. The nose is wood, fruity berry, sherry/port and warming spice. The taste is chocolate, fruity tang, bitter-sweet, wood, big hop bitterness, sherry, raisin, fig, red grape, spice and alcohol warmth with a dry-woody finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A tasty, hoppy old ale. Interesting. Dedollewaitor (16315) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 27, 2011
Tap @ Borefts Beer Festival, 2011. Pours amber with a small creamy head and lacings. Grassy and grainy. A bit of caramel and hops. Smooth. Decent. yespr (47039) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - SEP 28, 2011

Cask (gravity) @ Borefts Bier Festival 2011, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.
Clear medium to dark amber colour with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, earthy notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sharp, UK hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
For me this was chewy and malty to the max. Aroma was low, flavour was low but bitterness was high. Tough one but enjoyable

Cask at Euston Tap. Dark amber/brown colour with small white head. Aroma is a bit stinky dish cloth funkiness and a bit malty. Taste is malty and creamy with an increasingly bitter finish. Slightly herbal element. Medium bodied and sightly oily and prickly in the mouth. Very nice. Christian (13773) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 15, 2011
Boreft Beer Festival 2011. Chestnut colour with a small off-white head. Biscuit malty aroma with dried fruit, and a touch of spicy hops. Sweet malty and fruity flavour with a rich, full mouthfeel. Quite bitter finish cgarvieuk (25705) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 1, 2012
some time some where probably De Molen Fest ...deep brown ... thin tan head ... soft sweet bitter toffee malt ... soft spicy malt ... ok but nothing exciting
