Cask at CBC Clerkenwell, London. Pours black-brown with a fine, beige cream head. Has quite a rich mocha nose, definitely some sugary chocolate, a bit of dark roasted coffee. Medium sweet flavor with dark chocolate, some brownies, chalky cocoa, earth, burnt toast, subtle coffee notes. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light stickiness to finish, dark sugars, burnt earth bitterness, lots of mocha charcter, some dry and ashy roasted malts. Pretty nice stuff. Quite rich for 6%.
