I have to walk past The Treacle Tap, Macclesfield on my home from town and this was a last pint of the night on a drunken stumble home. Some citrusy hops, slight cleaning fluid, hint of caramel, dry bitter finish. It’s a grower. Bullit (4803) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUL 22, 2011
Cask @ 3 Judges. Slightly hazy amber colour, off-whithe head. Nose is caramel malts, bit of fruits, wood polish. Flavour is slight roasted malts, wood polish, toffee, wine sourness, candy suger. Like a barley wine-light. Full bodied. This is great stuff. harrisoni (19535) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2011
Cask at Euston Tap. Clear copper colour with lasting cream head. Tasty beer with some tea characteristics. Sat drinking waiting for the train to Liverpool. Drinkable enough without jumping out at me. Some bitterness on finish. KnutAlbert (6798) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 28, 2011
Cask at the Euston Tap.
Lovely amber. Full malty body, long bitter finish with herbs and spices. Black pepper, radiches, watercress. Sublte, well composed. Very pleasant session brew.
