01 - Cask at CP&K London on 13 Nov 2011 - Amber in colour. Malty; syrupy, caramel, toffee. Fruity; vinous, some dark fruits. Very sweet malty fruity throughout. Nothing special. Rather disappointing! (2011-11)

Draft at BBF 2011. Hazy amber color, white head. Aroma of caramel, citrues. Taste is sweet caramel, pine. Plain.

Cask @ CBC 1st Birthday Party. Deep amber with a tiny white head. The nose is honeyed herbs, sage, mint leaves, strawberry and thyme. Floral indeed. The taste is herbal hops and honey, some red apple. Tangy light pineapple cheese yeast. Full bodied, a real sipper. Certainly a bit hot. OK.

Svesse (8803) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - DEC 29, 2011
(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 26 Nov 2011) Amber colour with brief, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with dried fruit, citrus, resin and hints of oak wood. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, caramel, resin, oak wood and a bitter-sweet finish with hints of orange marmalade. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness and a generous bitterness. Quite well balanced for a dry hopped barley wine. Very nice and tasty.

Süßer, stimmig milde rAntrunk. Leichte Vanillenoten, trocken milder Mittelteil, dennoch halbwegs vollmundig. Getreidiger Abgang. /11/11/10//11

Boreft Beer Festival 2011: Clear, pale amber with a small white head. Malty aroma with some caramel, grassy hops and a hint of diacetyl. Sweet caramel malty flavour with diacetyl and a grassy, hoppy finish

stobbe74 (3790) - DENMARK - NOV 21, 2011
Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2011. Pours a clear and golden beer with a weak offwhite head. The aroma is malt, sweetness and alcohol. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is alcoholwarmth and sweetness. Overall a good beer.

3.2
Scopey (15704) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 17, 2011
Cask at CP&K. It pours amber, with a thin beige head. The nose is syrupy, wood, floral, fresh hop and tinned nectarine. The taste is wood, golden syrup, honey, alcohol warmth, leather, nut, fresh hop, floral, plum and tinned nectarine, with a long warming, dry finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Ok, but a bit thin for this style.
