Aroma of chocolate mint candies with a tiny bit of coffee and roasted malts in the background. Taste reminds me a bit of after eight chocolates. Chocolate and mint are dominating the tongue with a bit of coffee in the background. Rather sweet, yet not overwhelming. Light body, good drinkability. Good one. jamestulloch (4117) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 4, 2016
Keg at Andrew Usher’s. Clear dark brown body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate and a subtle hint of mint (which I think I’m noticing only because of previous reviews). Flavour of caramel, sweet milk chocolate and fig. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Rich and earthy. A tasty, well balanced Sweet Stout. hohops (998) - Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 27, 2016
Appearance- very dark ruby almost black, hardly any head. Aroma- chocolate and mint, dark malts, coffee traces. Taste- lots of mint chocolate, leathery malt, smoky traces, dark roasty malt, bitter ashy finish. Intriguing, a bit artificial. MrBishop (78) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2016

Nice smooth stout. Not too overpowering. Could definitely drink it all night without waking up with bad breath haha.

Cask, 1/3 pint by gravity at PRAF 2016, Town Hall, Paisley (20 Apr 2016), lovely chocolate, mint aroma, opaque near black with no head, chocolate, minty, oily, sweet, soft carbonation. foxo82 (900) - Bromsgrove (via Leicester), Worcestershire, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2016
Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington. Retains the subtle bitterness of a stout with a dark chocolate that’s more apparent then the mint. downender (8660) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - APR 25, 2016
Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 22/4/2016. Near black, with a decent, off-white, head. Plain chocolate, roasted malts and some slightly jarring ’After Eight’ mint character in the finish. Fine. imdownthepub (14557) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 25, 2016
Cask conditioned at The Gryphon, Bristol. Dark brown with cream head. Slightly weird this one, certainly there is a chocolate hit, sweet and smooth but then a chemical note, presumably the mint element, I wasn’t too keen on that part. Don’t think I would return to this one. gowdy (1115) - Erskine, SCOTLAND - APR 23, 2016
Half pint at The Paisley Beer Festival. Quite thick. Syrupy. No head. Darker brown colour.
