Horse, Parsons Green. Quite much pitch black colour with not too much head. Aroma is caramel, roasted malts, lots of coffee, chocolate and vanilla along with some liquorice as well. Also some mild alcohol. Flavour is a very pleasant mix of the same. Long coffeeish and roasted aftertaste.
2nd August 2010. Fonefan in the Masters Division - Jan’s Birthday Bash. cgarvieuk (24792) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 11, 2010
Clear dark brown beer. Light tan head. Lovely chocolate nose with some coffee in there as well. Light semi dry palate. Rich coffee and chocolate well integrated with some tangy dark fruits - blackcurrant, cherry. Cocoa chocolate. All very well joined up and balanced. Dry finish. Rich and very tasty.
Tap that Jans 50th birthday bash ... dark black ... bubbly tan head ... soft coffee ... soft chocolate ... little vanilla nose ... big vanilla pod front ... soft sweet coffee... beautiful ... harrisoni (18807) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2010

8 Wow. Just wow. They have of course "cheated" and just added coffee, but it fits the stout perfectly.
5 Black, tan head
8 Stunning, the coffee is so well integrated in the beer. Some creamy banana milkshake too, and a touch of vanilla.
5 So smooth, so full, and with so many intricate aspects. Finish is roasty - coffee with cream!
16 If you are going to do a gimick (add an unusual beer ingredient) then do it well. On the coffee front, Mikkeller’s Bear Geek Brunch Weasel now has a rival - and I think this might be the winner.
2010-08-02. Very dark brown near black body with a modest beige head and lace. Flavour is interesting. Sweet malt core but the highlights are a dry coffee like roast, sweeter mocha hints, Coffee Crisp candy bar, lingering dry bitterness and mocha notes. 7+ More mocha in the aroma, very interesting roast character has a profile that defies a sufficiently detailed analysis by me, coffee grounds but in a more pleasant way than I usually mean when I say that. 8+ Smooth medium bodied palate. 3+ Really good.
