Cask: Regular.
A velvety dark, exceptionally smooth and creamy stout with soft treacle flavours and a full body. Not as strong as some traditional stouts, but lacking none of their taste.

Cask. Aroma caramelized malts. Pours mahogany body and tan cream top. Strong lacing. Taste is a mixture of roasted malt with mildly molasses notes. Finish is soft and bitter. Texture is watery but with a slightly oily edge. They do better.

Cask Half Pint at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London in Aug 2010 - Black in colour. Very Malty; roasty (slightly burnt) malts, coffee, chocolate, toffee. Fruity; dark fruit. Hoppy; slight hops. Smooth and creamy. Nice malt/fruit/hop balance. Sessionable stout. Liked this a lot. Very very drinkable. Nice! (2010-08)

Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, roasted, dark malt, light bread. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Taste of brown malts, dough and dark fruits. Slightly roasted end. Thin to medium bodied. Satisfying (The Roundhouse, Derby 19.02.2016).

Craft Islington. Cask. Clear dark amber beer, residual pale tan head. Light dry palate, modest fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, lightly tangy and milky. Trace of dark fruits. Light dry finish. More disappointing Thornbridge.
