Cask, shared with Finn at Famous Royal Navy Volunteer. Fawn-coloured lacing head over a dark brown body. Inviting aromas of brown malts with fruity hints. Chocolate, earth and nuts to the taste profile joined by a backdrop of pine. Rounded in the mouth. Good drinking. (Bristol 29.04.2017).

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2017 (Cask at Kitty?s, 20170212) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized, bit sparse and it lasted long. Aroma had malts, caramel and grass. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, caramel, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. A nice brown ale with good drinkability.

Cask in the Horseshoe NW3. Deep brown colour, looks nice, white foam. Some nice malty flavours, a bit of fruit, toffee, bread. Big bitter hoppy finish. Nice, complex beer, to me just a little unbalanced with a bit too much bitterness killing some of the lovely malt flavour. Same beer 5 less IBUs would be awesome!

Cask at Euston tap. Clear amber / orange coloured pour with a steadfast creamy off white head. Aroma is nutty , biscuity malts, berry hop, English yeast esters. Little staling on the nose tells me the cask is maybe past its best. Flavour is malt base, with toast and a hint of roast, tangy hedgerow berry fruit hop, assertive slightly rough hop bitterness. Palate is medium, slight creamy on the tongue, moderate cask condition. Decent beer, maybe not in best condition.
