(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 23 April 2017) Dark amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with toast, caramel and orange peel. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of orange peel, caramel, crisp-bread, some rye, hints of liquorice and a balanced citric/spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made brown ale with an American touch. Nice one. john44 (3456) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2017

Cask halfpint at University Arms, Sheffield. - Combines zippyfresh plum fruitiness with an Altbier dryness in a malty Uk brown ale of sorts: modern exotic nose, just rightly sweet with polished toffee malts in mouthfeel, with a measured citrus punch to its stonefruit&berry balance. Smooth, sessionable and good with food, e.g. the savoury Yorkshire pudding with fingerthick fries and Henderson’s. jackafholmes (1024) - - APR 16, 2017
Cask at hallamshire, shef. Light brown with off white head. Aroma is wholemeal bread and walnut. Taste is bitter and dry and savoury. Smooth body and a slight tingle. Not bad.

Cask @ Knott Bar, Manchester. Dark amber-brown with a thin head. There’s a heavy rawness about this ale’s taste. There’s lots of grain and bread flavours and there’s a much darker taste to that of the ordinary malty bitter you find in many places. Niall73 (2459) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 19, 2014
Cask at CBC Brixton. Pours an amber brown with a white head. Wet leaves, grassy, muddy autumnal aroma. Light to medium body, mild carbonation. Woody, with some caramel and a resiny bitterness. OK.

Cask conditioned at Fleetwood Beer Fest ’14. Copper with white head. Quite a full beer on the palate, some sweetness with a toffee, caramel maltiness, not really boiled but certainly present. There follows a plummy fruitiness and tangy hop flavour. Quite a mix but decent. evergreen0199 (3561) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2014
Cask at Euston Tap, London. An amber/brown coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Fruity, caramel aroma. Tastes of caramel, hint of citrus fruit. Quite pleasant.
