Cask at the CASK Pub & Kitchen on 2 August 2010. Clear gold with thin white lacing head. Fruity and floral aromas. Notes of elderflower, fruits and a late burst of peanut nuttiness during the main flavour crescendo. Grass and floral hop abound in the finish, on a zingy mouthfeel. Cask at Merton Summer Beer and Cider Festival 17-07-09 Pours gold in colour with off-white head. The aroma is quite simply stunning, the elderflowers leap out at you and they’re really, really fresh, no cats piss which can accompany not so fresh elderflower. There was also a hint of nettle on the nose, anyway it was a rare 10/10 for me on the nose fantastic. Taste was really summery, clean and maltier and with more body than I expected for a 4% beer but it was tasty with the elderflower showing again. I really enjoyed this but for me the aroma was everything and the taste as good as it was, was never quite going to live up to that nose. A10 A3 F7 P3 Ov15 3.8 daniele (9532) - ITALY - AUG 11, 2010

Cask handpull at The Star Inn, Huddersfield and The Fat Cat, Sheffield. So much elderflower almost gingerish
Gold, lasting beige head. Very, very elderflower on aroma. Good in mouth, good fullish pale malt, then lots of peppery elderflower on finish. Good beer.

Bright light gold with a thin but lasting white head and lots of condition. Huge elderflower hand in hand with some very good hops and held up really well by some excellent earthy malt. Ian’s right, it’s almost gingery with the excessive elderflower. Typically drinkable for a Thornbridge beer. Good stuff.
Cask at Craft Beer Co., London. Pours clear, matte gold with a foamy white head. A bit of herbal hops and hay on the nose. Medium sweet flavor, florals and mild spices, some white sugar, touches of toast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. There are some sugary malts on the finish, more flowers and light spices. Nice beer with good balance. madmitch76 (25293) - , Essex, ENGLAND - AUG 21, 2010

And again a couple of days later at the Thornbridge stand at GBBF (thanks Ian!). Hazy pale gold beer. Neutral to slightly dry palate.Low carbonation. Sweet orange and floral elderflower. Finishes dry and turns very slightly bitter. Good stuff.

Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours clear golden with a small creamy white head. Fresh and herbal. Vaguely spicy and fresh. A hint of peppers and elderflowers. Smooth and dry. Lovely summer quencher! Christian (13769) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 23, 2011
