Keg at The Grove, Huddersfield, Friday 20th February 2015 Dark brown, good clarity. Soft and creamy in the mouth, creamy white head, bitterness is steady but not harsh, like a soft marmalade laced with some red berries. Quite sweet, solid malty backbone, a touch of pine, good. Cask. Tapped, Leeds. Clear, orangey amber. Thin, creamy, sticky, just off white head. Looks boss. Sweet, thick, juicy, spicy malts. Ripe, fusty orange hops. Taste is toffee sweet. Turns spicy dry. Light hop bitterness. Robust palate. Plenty of chew. Finishes long, gentle bitter, with the spicy dryness hanging on. Big beer.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Deep amber-red with a creamy head, slightly off-white head. Has lovely smooth malts in its nose and some fruit, complimented with a smooth texture that includes a few more fruits. It does not taste its strength although you can certainly feel it after a while! markas101 (2543) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Tap, Bar Dada, Sheffield, UK. Strong iced tea appearance, biege lasting head. Resinous pine and caramel aroma. Bright flavor, then a warming sweet alcohol finish. omegamike (152) - York, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2012
Pours ruby with viscous tan head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, very light with a touch of zesty ginger. Flavour is very evenly balanced between sweet caramel, spicy hop bitterness and a citrus and pine finish. A delightful and drinkable beer that disguises its strength a little too well...
