Keg at Craft Beer Co. - Islington, London. Pours clear, red-gold with a fine, off-white cream head. Caramel and semi-dark fruits on the nose. Medium to big sweet flavor with light alcohol, some dry wood, ripe fruits, some piney hops. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sticky to finish, somewhat warming, with toasty sugars, more ripe fruits, some bread. Pretty decent beer overall. jackl (8417) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 25, 2012
Keg @ CBC Islington. The pour’s deep brownish red with a medium off-white head. The nose is sugared wood, some berry, big sweet malt notes. The taste is quite sweet berry, bracing bitterness, wood. Big malt profile, a bit boozy. Full body, a real sipper. Overall, a decent effort. I found it a bit sweet and hot for my tastes. madmitch76 (25534) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2012

Craft Islington. Almost clear red - amber beer. Small cream coloured head. Palate is soft but with some mild prickly carbonation. A little creamy malt. Minerals. Nice hops, rich marmalade, trace of grapefruit. Whisper of skunk. Very luxuriant creamy finish. Not getting a lot of barrel here - just a trace of vanilla oak. Finishes semi dry. Good stuff!
Keg at PSBH 22nd November 2012. Sweet and sickly, too much for me, not a beer I would care to have again stravale (3135) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - NOV 6, 2012

Copper amber, thin small bubbly white head, good lacing
Aroma of caramel malts, soft toasted malts, lots of grassy hops, citrus hops, some grapefruit, complex hop nose, some tropical fruits, mango, no booze at all
Taste of complex hops, citrus hops, orange peel, zesty, grassy hops, some resin, fruity caramel malts underneath, very US - yeah..it’s an imperial Sequoia, lots of malt and big time hops
Palate - medium carb and body. Finish as main flavour, only a touch of booze on the finish
Overall - Really good beer but the malts can get a wee bit heavy after a while
Keg. Amber/orange color, dissipating thin off-white head. The nose is tropical fruits (papaya?), sweet caramel, and hop resin. Tastes full of sweet tropical fruits, spices, and really impressive malt balance considering the high hop content (think Dogfish Head 90-ish), DnAuK (112) - South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2012
Lovely aroma. Crystal clear amber appearance with a silky, slightly off-white head. Taste is just a little too astringent to make the experience perfect. Leaving a definite peppery tickle at the back of the throat. Otherwise a cracking beer.

Good and hoppy, with a rich boozy kick at the end. Feels heavy and oily in the mouth, but the pine notes seem to clear that. A good one to have in passing, but not one to spend a session with.
