Craft Islington. Almost clear red - amber beer. Small cream coloured head. Palate is soft but with some mild prickly carbonation. A little creamy malt. Minerals. Nice hops, rich marmalade, trace of grapefruit. Whisper of skunk. Very luxuriant creamy finish. Not getting a lot of barrel here - just a trace of vanilla oak. Finishes semi dry. Good stuff!
Keg at Craft Beer Co. - Islington, London. Pours clear, red-gold with a fine, off-white cream head. Caramel and semi-dark fruits on the nose. Medium to big sweet flavor with light alcohol, some dry wood, ripe fruits, some piney hops. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sticky to finish, somewhat warming, with toasty sugars, more ripe fruits, some bread. Pretty decent beer overall. Rune (13723) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2012
Half, in fine condition from keg at Craft Beer Co in Islington. Dotted spots to the glassware. Fawn-coloured head. Clear dark amber body. Dried fruity nose. Taste of fresh apricot, some berries and oak. Smooth lingering bittersweet finish with integrated, warming alcohol. Full bodied. Good sipper that fits the season (London, 26.11.2012). Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Deep amber-red with a creamy head, slightly off-white head. Has lovely smooth malts in its nose and some fruit, complimented with a smooth texture that includes a few more fruits. It does not taste its strength although you can certainly feel it after a while!

Keg at The Grove, Huddersfield, Friday 20th February 2015 Dark brown, good clarity. Soft and creamy in the mouth, creamy white head, bitterness is steady but not harsh, like a soft marmalade laced with some red berries. Quite sweet, solid malty backbone, a touch of pine, good. Keg @ CBC Islington. The pour’s deep brownish red with a medium off-white head. The nose is sugared wood, some berry, big sweet malt notes. The taste is quite sweet berry, bracing bitterness, wood. Big malt profile, a bit boozy. Full body, a real sipper. Overall, a decent effort. I found it a bit sweet and hot for my tastes. MrTipple (6952) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 1, 2015
Aroma: intense fruits, dark berries, caramel and molasses, some light floral hops. Appearance: clear amber, small, off-white, creamy head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: sweets carry on, fruity again, caramel malts, toffee, soft carbonation, full body. Overall: fantastic American Strong Ale, excellent aroma and taste. Pint at CASK Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico. Cask. Tapped, Leeds. Clear, orangey amber. Thin, creamy, sticky, just off white head. Looks boss. Sweet, thick, juicy, spicy malts. Ripe, fusty orange hops. Taste is toffee sweet. Turns spicy dry. Light hop bitterness. Robust palate. Plenty of chew. Finishes long, gentle bitter, with the spicy dryness hanging on. Big beer.
