Bottle 33 cl, bottled on december 2011. Pours dark brown in color with a small tan head. Light roasted
coffee, a bit of vanilla and even a bit of smoky notes in aroma. Salty licorice, some soy sauce and just
a bit bitter chocolate in taste. A bit of some burnt wet wood and coffee in aftertaste. Gets a bit
smoother towards finish, even if there’s a bit of salty seawater and burnt wooden roasted notes. MrHangover (4690) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 12, 2013
Bottle. Pours a rich, black beer with a light, reddish hue around it. Small, tanned head on top. Aroma is roasty, malty and carries some oak and booze. Flavour is moderately sweet, malty and syrupy. There is definitely some alcohol present in the flavour, very sweet and thick aftertaste. No alcholic burn though. Quite decent RIS, very nice beer indeed. Bottle at DaDa Sheffield. It pours near black with a thick tan head. The nose is roasty, dark chocolate, xmas cake, plum, date, caramel, raisin, liquorice and spice. The taste is rich roasted malt, dark fruit (particularly plum), coffee, burnt earth, light tanginess, liquorice, chocolate, spice and some alcohol warmth with a long dry roasted finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Great depth of flavour and very well balanced. Delicious. symmetric (71) - - APR 20, 2013
Cherry and raisin on the nose. Taste is a bit shallow, with a hint of roasted bitterness. Body is a bit thin. Overall, somewhat unexciting. TET (3124) - Kaarina, FINLAND - APR 20, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2013 A black beer with a dense and yellow-brown head. The nose is very intensive, roastiness, salt liquirice, strawberries and some embers and strenght of alcohol. Taste is also very intensive, lots of salt liquirice, dried fruits, coffee, lots of sweetness, that is balanced with strong bitterness and roastiness. Full bodied, mild carbonation, not sticky, slippery and nice to drik. Very intensive beer, there are lots of everything, very succesfully beer for a slow enjoyment.

It pours very dark and hazy with a thin beige foam head.
It smells dried dates, liquorice and dark fruits and also a blend of aromatic hop and oaky notes. This Stout is very smooth and more liquorice/Zan flavours based than coffe/barrels... Backbone is malty, powerful and bitter thanks to generous amounts of noble hops and roasted malts ... but this stout is really too sweet for my palate. I expect something dryer in finish and a bit more complex than only liquorice/molasses and bitter.
Great but not super great! harrystrill (91) - West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2013

Pours dark brown with a brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, strong licorice notes, hints of dark ripe fruits and caramel. Taste has massive amounts of licorice, slight roastiness, hints of malts. Strong, warming finish with a lot of salty licorice. Quite complex and heavy, licorice overdose.

Pours a black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, very sweet fruits and honey. Flavour of strong roasted malts, salty licorice, dark chocolate and molasses. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and a long, salty, roasty finish. Very well balanced and highly enjoyable. The amount of licorice here is awesome.
33 cl bottle @ olio, brewed 04/2012, bottled 12/2011
Aroma has toffee, English hops and roasted notes. Flavour has English hops, hay, roasted notes, salty licorice and some soy sauce. An imperial stout in English way. Actually, too English and too salty for me.
