Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - huge thanks to Jack for this one. Pours black with a fairly thick, creamy tan head. Pretty standard dark malt nose, toast, faint cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, good alcohol, some bitter earth, baking cocoa, rich bread. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Oily chocolatey finish, lots of earthy bitterness, baking cocoa, earth. Good.
Bottle. Chocolate nose, with decided alcohol presence, spice, and light red wine. Dark translucent brown. Chocolate strong in initial flavor, tingling alcohol, lots of dark fruit, and creamy in finish. Heavy body. Very nice stuff, with good dark chocolate flavors. Not as creamy as most oatmeal stouts, KyotoLefty (10367) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 30, 2016
Black with a pretty head. Meaty nose, chocolate, soy sauce, umami, Worchestershire sauce even. Flavor is some berries, soy, dark chocolate syrup, smooth, medium body. A very rich and tasty impy. Nice. Didn’t get Bourbon, so I wonder if they are 3rd use barrels… blomster (289) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 18, 2016
