A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

Clean as a whistle this. Modern and direct on the nose but the hops are subtle when compared to the US mod style. Hoppy palate with some mild aniseed bitterness but very much in check and a wonderful definition of "balance". Its not massive, as per the commercial descriptor, but Id rather drink this all day.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2012 Solid extra pale. Doesnt really leap out at you but I could see it singing a little more on tap. Sweet candy and fruity hop nose. A bit thin and none too balanced. Some nice tropical fruit hops to finish, but again this is more finessed than a WC IPA. Think strong pale and you wont go too far wrong. Tap rerate - bumped this up as really enjoyed the subtle WC influence, and as expected it did sing on tap.

Bottle. Golden/light amber colour. Hoppy, citrusy, tropical fruitiness, grass. Caramel and biscuity malt in the background. Smooth & balanced bitterness (for a IPA).

This was all over the place in England (on tap). Clear golden, white head, clinging viciously to the glass. Smooth, gentle, low bitterness. A good swirl brings out a subtle aroma. A little late bitterness. A decent British IPA but just that. (on cask at a pub in London near Fleet Street)

Hazy and orange/amber in color - a little darker than a hefeweizen. Not overly hoppy or bitter, at least not compared to the IPAs here in the states. Maybe this is massive hoppiness for a British beer ;-) The taste is great, though. A combination of hop bitterness, citrus notes (with a hint of sourness), and a light, bready flavor. Between this beer and Kipling, Thornbridge has quickly become my favorite British brewery.

500mL bottle. Pours light golden with an amazing tropical fruit aroma, you can tell this beer is all about the hops. Taste fresh and the flavour is reminiscent of punk ipa cans IMO. Amazing beer i love it.

This is an reasonable IPA. It had a great nose, but wasnt hoppy enough for me, needed a bit more punch!

Purchased at the Dundas LCBO. Pours a hazy amber/ gold, some sedimentary floaties in there. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Fluffy white head, piles of lacing. Smells like orange citrus spice. Tastes brilliantly smooth and slightly bitter, quite refreshing.

Bottle. Gold with a white head. A few floating bits. Floral aroma with grapefruit, some kumquats and honey. Taste is bittersweet, full of fleshy grapefruit with honey and grain. So much grapefruit theres the impression of sourness as well as bitterness. Mouthfeel is soft and alive but theres not quite enough presence to the malt side to really complement the citrus. Good and very refreshing.

Golden pour with a white head. Aroma is bread, pine and noble hops, and cat pee. Flavor much better with great floral an spicy aspect with a pleasent bitter finish.
