A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

Pint at Wetherspoons in Reading. Well formed head over a pale golden beer. Light but indistinct citrus aroma. Nice, sweet, citrusy taste with a hint of honey. One of the better English pale beers. Not truly exceptional (Id still rather have a La Chouffe), but decent.

pours sort of cloudy with a frothy head and has a really yellow colour. aroma of pine cones but has a really pilsner like aroma. not very complex aroma and sort of reduced. tastes bitter, medium bodied (at best) very leafy flavour. lacks malts and overall a boring beer for the style. has a chalky finish.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2015 An enjoyable IPA that is quite different from the usual American/Antipodean versions of the breed. Nice for a change - but I prefer the hoppier balance of the New World varieties.

Head is long and like whipped cream and I can smell the tropical fruits of this one before even starting to rate...so this one gives me a clear invitation. Strong ipa-aroma: caramel malting is strong but fruits balance. Sweet and bitter. Aroma is bit like some beer that you should dilute (God jelp that truly ever happening that we would get a beer like that). Thick and sticky aroma. Nice looks: bit hazy Honey with head like just told you and lacing also. Light to medium body, really soft nice feel, low carbonation, dry and slightly bitter, soft aromatic finish is long and dries towards end. Soft, easy to drink ipa that has light personality, could taste this in summer also, interesting and good.

Bottle (500ml from Waitrose, Glasgow):
Strong with pine hops coming through along with some citrus fruits, a lot spice spice and some floral hops along with plenty of tropical fruit notes. This one was a pleasant surprise on the nose with some pineapple, grapefruit and even some lychee making up the rest of the nose.
Light amber with orange tinges and a very big, two fingers tall head that is part foamy, part bubbly looking and stays at about the same height for a few sips before reducing slightly in size.
Hop filled on the taste buds with a good tropical fruit backing and plenty of pine and floral hop flavours coming through. There is a little bit of a bitter grapefruit taste but nothing too severe and there is a nice orange and citric fruit taste following on from it. As you would expect from something with so many hops coming through, it is also quite a bitter beer.
Moderate carbonation and a medium mouthfeel, this one is quite a hop filled beer and quite dry in the finish. Lots of citrus in the mix and quite fruity as well.

Nice, very much like an American style IPA which wasnt at all what I was expecting. This one is a beer I had heard a lot about prior to drinking it and my only regret is that I put off trying it for so long.

The Aroma of Jaipur has a laidback feeling of mild hops and a round sweet smell that makes you a little suspicious at first. The taste though, is delicious, mild and sweet from malts, but also fruity and fresh. It has a very round mouthfeel, and its like taking a big bite from a big, sweet ripe orange. This one is very refreshing and crisp.
