A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

Draught at Monks Porter House. Really hazy light orange liquid with medium white head. Aroma of earthy and herbal hops, grass, tropical fruit, biscuit and grass. Taste is very light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of tangerine and British hops. Bit low bitterness. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Drinkable.

Good grapefruit background, but fails to impress. Had on tap, but was rather flat, which emphasizes the English IPA background.

Chopp. Unclear orange golden colour, white small head. Pleasant sweet exotic fruity hoppy aroma. Good mouthfeel. Flavour is fresh with lots of exotic fruity hoppiness, pine, caramel, some malt and a good bitterness.

Aroma lemon meringue pie. Also taste of this. Lemony colour with a fluffy white head that fades quickly. This beer is fair.

Sampled on draft at Pipers Pub this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a huge fluffy yellow-white head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet pineapple and tropical fruit. The flavor was sweetish and tangy pineapple, orange and fruit cocktail. Medium length tart fruit cocktail finish. Medium body. Solid.

I pretty much knew what to expect from this beer, and it didnt disappoint. Nice flowery aroma and rather more full-bodied than many citrus beers. Finish lingered without being too acetic. Very pleasant.

500ml bottle, shared with Caterwaul. Mildly hazy whitish - yellow golden color. Good thin white head, leaves decent lace. Medium body. Very smooth, light carbonation. Finish is more on the dry, clean side. I was very skeptical about this going in, because most English "IPAs" I try turn to to be disappointing to me. But this is actually really impressive, in the way that lighter American "session" IPAs try to be. There is a satisfying floral hop flavor in here that dominates, with some light citrus and lighter pine notes. Hint of lemon. Balanced with a decent bready, lightly toasty malt profile. Nice lightly bitter zesty taste, light sweetness. Just a solid, lighter yet flavorful IPA, English or not.
