Cask at Den Engel, Leek. A clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon, orange, some bready, cakey malts, subtle caramel and slight floral hops. Taste is similar lemon, orange, some bready malts, subtle caramel and slight floral hops. Light to medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dryish, subtley tangy, floral hop bitterness in the finish. A cakey aroma of tangy lemon and orange and a well balanced taste of citrus, malt and floral hops. A really good cask pale.

September 12, 2015 - on cask handpull at The King’s Arms (Shoreditch) - surrounded by a gaggle of hipsters. Light amber with a decent lasting beige foamy head. Aroma of a decent if twiggy ESB with extra alcohol - not bad. Taste follows, a little sweet and a little less twiggy than the aroma. Airy, light body, soft mouthfeel, quick finish - simple, decent, nothing amazing.
