Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen on 2nd August 2010. Hazy gold with a white foam head and part lacing. Strong hops aroma of grapefruit and a touch of cheesy yeastiness. Beautiful grapefruit and herb bouquet in main kick an a tight citrus hoppiness on back of the mouth leading to a dryish grassy finish. Pleasant textured mouthfeel. Hand pulled cask at the C&K, Pimlico. Gold with a healthy white head. Juicy sweet malt profile but balanced by a splendid citrus hop stash, with grapefruit predominating. Brilliant! harrisoni (19310) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2008

A Mes rate: Cask at the White Horse.haddonsman (1234) - Derby, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2008
Considering this followed a cask Black Albert and a draught Gonzo anyone could be forgiven for not thinking too much of this but you know what, it’s pretty bloody good. A shining example of quality English brewing like most beers from this brewer. Aroma is full of massive peachy, grapefruit hops with some perfect sweetish biscuity malt waaay in the background. Slightly hazy gold appearance with a very thin off white head. Flavour is a superb balance of grassy and aromatic U.S. hops with some wonderful earthy English malt. Delicate yet fantastic floral and bitter hop finish. Four ratings... four 3.8’s. Can’t be bad.
Cask, handpull, pubs all over Derby 2008. Also once traded under the name Belay Betty. Let’s look down the Thornbridge tick list and see how this marks up; aromatic hop - yes. Pure and not cloying fruits in aroma - yes (some grapefruit, some goozgog? Effortless balance - yes (sweet malts and mown grass). Superb after a pint - yes. Even better after five pints - damn right.
