Cask (handpull) at the Royal Oak, Ockbrook. Dried-blood-black body, a whisp of singed malt, tangental hedgerow fruits and a momentarily toasted finish. Not gluggable like its sister Pollux but still an accomplished mild at this ABV. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2006
Cask Handpump at the Roundhouse, Barrow Hill 20/05/2006
Dark red coloured with some fruit flavour. Slightly bitter dry roast finish. DanielBrown (4546) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2006
Hand pulled at the Anchor, Birmingham. Dark black beer, beige head. Quite similar (especially in appearance and abv) to Pollux, but softer, with a more powdery malt finish. Doesn’t have the same edge as Pollux and is a more standard Mild.
