Bottle, Rehills, Ncl. Yep. the big 5. This is a stunning beer, no other word for it. Huge beautiful hoppy aroma, amazing concoction of flavours dance all over my tongue, grassy fresh hops, berries, cherries, sweetness, bitterness, just everything I want froma a beer and then some. I want to put down more, but I don’t think there’s enough superlatives. Wish I’d bought the entire stock from the shop..... medallaisla (91) - PUERTO RICO - AUG 8, 2012
Bottle with my husband.
Black with a tan head.
Roasted malts and tropical fruits in the aroma
Taste: Much like the aroma with a nice lingering bitter ending.
One of the better balanced black IPA’s I’ve had RickReallyBrew (105) - Franktown, Colorado, USA - OCT 31, 2016
Amazing complex IPA. Almost a butterscotch flavor. This is a terrific beer for those who love full flavor complex grogs. 77ships (10455) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 20, 2012
50 cl. bottle @ home // A: dark brown with a lightly tanned head // S: yes Sorachi Ace & Nelson Savignon (which I only picked up after tasting it, I am really getting bitter kiwi now, lots of awesome hops (I really like those two), chcocolate malts, flowers, utterly awesome // T & B: light chocolate malts, only downer about this is that the body is kind of grainy upfront & not as thick as I would love but, chocolate malts, blueberries, immediately got Sorachi Ace & Savignon, not sure how Centinal taste like, maybe I picked it up, bitter kiwi, white grapes, some melon, touch eartly sweet Sorachi, flowers, candy, nuts, I adore these hops in here, spend 10 min. cursing about how awesome this was at first, if not for the body, which is a small minus, I would worship this, man, those hops, especially how they work here, Thornbridge makes phenomenal IPA’s & this … dear lord … ridiculous amount of cursing in English, Dutch, French, Russian,… <3 Thornbridge // Dry-hopped Version Cask @ ACBF 2012 // A: black with a tanned, touch red head // S: lots of hops, grapefruit & Nelson // T: bitter coffee, chocolate malts, bitter cold coffee, followed by bitter grapefruit hops, touch fruity // B: touch lighter than bottle version // Dry-hoppped version, the incredible balance of hops that I adored is lost here, bottle version is way better // great stuff here CanCrusher (1097) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - FEB 16, 2013
Bottle 0,50L. Black coloured with some ruby shades and big, light brown head. Mostly hoppy aroma, combination of grapefruit and elderberry with some dark chocolate notes from the background. Chocolate bitter mouthfeel, dense, full bodied, creamy beer.

500ml Bottle. This pours a almost black beer with the slightest of reddish hues. It has a thick tan head that leaves a moderate lacing. Take a smell of this beel and your senses ignite- theres grapefruit but also malt, dark chocolate, maltiness, hops and the faintest hint of burnt toffee. Tastewise this is extremely complex and this review will not do it justice. Its a bitter grapefruit start with a subtle move through burnt toffee (again) to biscuit and malt through to a bitter finisdh with a re-emergance of the grapefruit. Wonderfully complex and an absloute stonking beer. I may have found a new favourite!! If I was to recommend a English craft beer to someone who wasnt familiar with our products- this would be it- it has everything yet its not over done = BRILLIANT!!!!!!! leebotton (406) - Bristol, Somerset, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2014

Yeast y hop aroma. Somewhat yeasty flavour with slightly roast malt and grassy hop flavour. Good carbonation and reasonable texture.

500ml Bottle [BBE:21.11.15]
Smells like a soft, fruity apple and peach pie, almost yoghurty, something creamy as well as fruity which I can’t place. The fruit is especially ’soft’ though, unlike the brighter fruit flavours commonly achieved in such volume. Colour is very deep ruby and the head is thick, coagulant and pink-brown. Apricot. I’d say I’m getting a lot of apricot.
The mouthfeel has a thickness but not really, thick, actually perfectly suited to this style and flavour as it accentuates the ’soft’ aesthetic. The soft fruity flavours become more resinlike on tasting with a hint of berries and hidden dark chocolate secrets. This is an extremely unique, intriguing and tasty brew. Clearly, I made a mistake before. Drank it at the wrong time. I’d love to know the hop schedule for this one.
Bottle the greystones Sheffield. Aroma is great piney orange hops. Taste is is same great dark malt backbone great long hoppy bitter finish. Black colour great beige head lacing. Medium body nice mouthfeel prickly carbonated. OMG thus stuff is the best would be full marks if the body was a bit fuller. Absolutely smashing!!!!! domienS (250) - Oostakker, BELGIUM - OCT 2, 2014
Pours a black beer with a medium fine stable beige head.
Smells fresh hops, citrus, exotic fruit, pine, really great nose!
Tastes bitter, nice mixture between malt bitter and hop bitter.
Very full mouthed beer with low carbonation and no alcoholic feel.
They really made a great balance between the hops and the black malts!
