Cask Handpump at the University Arms, Sheffield 17/07/2009
Some hop aroma. Golden bronze coloured floral and smooth on the palate with a crisp and slightly bitter malt finish. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2009
A Mes rate: cask at the University Arms.cgarvieuk (25734) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 6, 2009
Clean dark gold colour with plenty of lace and condition. Earthy malt, faint hops but not much else happening. Superb balance that is typical of Thornbridge, clearly well brewed but it’s lacking the excitement of most of their other offerings.
Cask in Cloisters ... disapointing... its thornbridge i had such hopes ... pale copper ... light fruit hop nose... with a boring bitter flavour . DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 6, 2009
Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Paleish caramel malt, dusty yeasty, grassy and herbal hop, bittersweet character in the finish. Not really my scene. imdownthepub (15137) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 5, 2009
Cask conditioned at The Market Porter, Borough, London. Copper colour with white head. Lovely bright, hoppy and bitter beer, refreshing if a little sweetish. Quite subtle about the hops, pretty reasonable.

Cask (handpump) @ Kelly Tasting @ The Coach & Horses, Sheffield Road, Dronfield, South Yorkshire, England S18 2GD.harrisoni (19189) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2009
Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Cask gravity at The Bull, Horton Kirby. Gold/copper colour with no real head. Some earthy hop on aroma. OK mid malts in mouth with some fruit. Decent hop on end. Drinkable but lacking the usual Thornbridge big hit. maeib (8751) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - MAY 18, 2009
