UPDATED: OCT 23, 2010 Bottle. Very dark wit hints if deep brown toward the edges and a healthy dose of beige film. The whiskey flavours are sligthly more obvious here than in its sister beers. Very oaked and some slight eggyness. Slightly burnt, metallic peatiness. In the mouth is is milky and smooth with an intense cloying effect. Flavours of burnt toffee, vanilla, tingles of ginger and a rich and lovely maltiness. Lovely and pretty full on.

Dark as hell. Lovely, savoury whisky aromas. Smoky light bacon aromas with a milky creaminess. Dang that is sublime. BOOM, dang so subtle and yet, so deep. KnutAlbert (6771) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 7, 2009

Bottled. A very dark brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of whiskey, tar, seaweed, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt and whiskey, as well as medium notes of soy sauce, wood, and tar, leading to a dry, woody and roasted finish. Huge thanks to fonefan for sharing.

37.5 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is mild smoked and roasted malt. Smoked and roasted malt flavoured. Ash-tray like and subdued sweetness. Smooth roasted and dark malty flavoured into the finish. Roasted and smoked lingering finish. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 8, 2009
Bottle. I didn’t like this as much as the other two, but it was still pretty tasty. Once again the balance is there as seen in the other too, but this seems a bit sweeter, and has a slightly flabbier mouth feel. Slightly peaty, but more roasty in character. Soft, round and smooth. Very tasty. Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 23, 2009
Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Vintage 2006. Pours pitch black with a beige head. Old woody aroma in combination with the hard roasted malts. Solid body, a little low in carbonation, hard roasted malt, licorice and a little tar. The woody whisky accents are there but are subdued. A little roasted malt bitterness in the finish and some warming alcohol. 231009
