Bottle from pre-ZBF store. Almost black, tan head that really lasts, solid, delicate lacing - who said that barrel aged ales couldn’t have a head or lacing?? Aroma of licorice, bitter cocoa, subtle whisky. Taste has dark bitter chocolate, oak, prunes. Whisky is apparent only in the finish. Lighter body than expected. Nice brew.
