Imperial Russian Stout
Rich and dark with smoke, subtle peatiness and the power of the dark malts. Molasses and liquorice and chocolate goodness all wrapped up in a smooth, warming liquid. Finishes with a distinct humming bitterness carried well by the hop and malt combo.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2017 14/12/16 Fill from Grunting Growlers in Glasgow. Pours a nice midnight black with a tan head. Aroma, dark fruits, chocolate. Taste, nice bitter finish preceded by chocolate, dark fruity pudding, nutty, biscuit notes, is that a tobacco note! Rather fine.

Chocolate, notes of coffee, dark brown with a good beige head, medium body, law/medium carbonation, a bit watery, again chocolate...not a great emperor.

Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, coffee, some liquorice, roast and milk chocolate. Soft touch of vanilla and fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is just above medium. Tasty ’light Imperial Stout’, good complexity.

Piwo o barwie ciemnobrunatnej i bardzo dobrej pianie. W zapachu paloność, karmel, czekolada, chmiele. W smaku dodatkowo lekka kwasnośćod paloności i gorycz.

Estebanik (1132) - Lublin, POLAND - OCT 22, 2016

zvikar (6149) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - OCT 22, 2016
Pours black with a beige head, aroma of chocolate, coffee, wood and brandy, flavor of chocolate, coffee, caramel, brandy, wood and honey, medium bodied

Jyrsa (834) - - OCT 8, 2016
Pours clear dark brown with strong tan head. Pine, chocolate, cocoa, burnt malt, hay, very hoppy nose. Burnt malt, pine, dark chocolate. A very light palate for an imperial stout. Not particularly Russian IMO but I like it nonetheless.
