a bit on the thin side, this rather dry imperial russian. Overall a quit bitter, roasty and a smoky affair with a huge deal of coffee and a tad of chocolats, but not that much of the latter. Not too bad, but nothing exceptional either.
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2017 share of a friends beer . to me I'm getting lots of coffee in the smell and taste. nice but not great hrabren (1517) - Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 2, 2017
Bottle shared with Višnja 666 and Marko. Thanks! Very dark with an orange tint. Roasty, alcohol, wood, figs. Dry and strong. Smooth texture, moderate carbonation, medium body, very dry finish. Good, but not impressive. Studoffsky (94) - POLAND - OCT 1, 2017
BOTTLE.. BB 09/03/2018. sam_uk93 (44) - West Sussex, ENGLAND - SEP 18, 2017
Pours very dark with hint of red. Light tan head. Aroma is sweet fruit, hint of cinnamon, lemon. Taste is initially fairly sweet, leading to a smokey spiced fruit, finishing with a lovely bitterness that lingers. Medium full bodied, light carbonation. Great stuff!

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2017 Blackish colored ale with some reddish notes with a cream colored head.
Aroma: coffee, chocolate and some roasted malt.
Taste: sweet, licorice, coffee and some chocolate and end with some bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel with slow to medium carbonation. Rhombic (146) - Elx, SPAIN - JUL 31, 2017
Pours dark brown, golden tinge, tan head. Malty caramel and noticeable hops on nose; fruity plum and peach aroma, fermented. Catastrophic burnt sugar and burnt caramel flavour. A bit dry and one-dimensional. Bad batch? jjsint (3492) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 27, 2017
Bottle from Cambridge Wine Merchants, Cherry Hinton Road. Dark brown, slightly translucent with a ring of tan head. Aroma is of liquorice, weak coffee, plums, with a hint of cocoa beans. Salty, smoky taste with yeast extract, espresso, bitter chocolate. Very bitter finish. Nicely carbonated. Unfortunately it’s got a heavily astringent aftertaste with horehound and BlackJack chewing gum. Interesting stuff. drjoeng (1380) - SINGAPORE - JUL 22, 2017
Pointed out dark brown instead of black. 38 SRM.
Nose is sweet and fruity. Aroma of ripe dark fruity preserves and jams. Grape jelly sweet and fruity. Caramel and treacle with burnt or scorched sugar aromas.
Mouthfeel is carbonated carbon. Palate has dark wheat toast, roasted barley. Hops are burnt twigs, with a clean woody bitter flavor.
Overall, for me this comes across like a black IPA.
Warming in the end. g_georgiou (600) - CYPRUS - JUL 13, 2017
Dark brown body with a medium brown head. Aroma is malty, caramel, light vanilla, chocolate. Taste is sweet and low bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Bitter finish.
