COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Special.
The Thornbridge Sequoia American Amber Ale has beautiful citrus and pine notes that come from our generous additions of Amarillo, Centennial and Chinook hops. It is smooth and velvety in the mouth with the toasted malts giving it a medium body with hints of roasted hazelnut, toffee and caramel malt flavours. Sequoia, a beautiful beer for all occasions!

Cask Pint at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London in Nov 2011 - Amber Brown in colour. Malty; toasty malts, toffee, caramel, lots of roasted hazelnut. Fruity; some citrus fruit. Hoppy; piney hops. Sweet toasty malty and very nutty throughout. Easy drinking. Very drinkable. (2011-11-13)

4.5%ABV. Amber. Tapped out amber. 12ºSRM. Nose has citrus, mandarin oranges and lychees. Sweet and citrusy. Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate has light toast, wheat thins, crackers. Hops are floral, grassy. Finish is brief. Overall more like a rye IPA instead of a good amber.

From tap. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt (molasses, brown sugar) and some citric notes. Light to medium body with a light to medium sweetness and a medium bitterness. The taste is dominate by the malt in the beginning with brown sugar and honey followed by a hoppy bitterness towards the finish.

Served in a Teku glass from a 500ml bottle. Pours golden-amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma is an interesting mixture of citrus, grapefruit, mango, grass and hints of pine resin. Taste is bitter-sweet and fruity with notes of mango, orange, grass and a hint of caramel. Medium smooth body with lively carbonation, well balanced. Nice, very easy to drink and enjoyable Amber Ale.
