COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We all know that drinking beer is a congenital pastime and brewing beer can be just as fraternal. This collaboration between Rob Lovatt of Thornbridge and Jessica Heidrich St. Eriks is testament to the friendship and inspiration that brewing can produce. This Imperial Raspberry Stout pours rich and dark with aromas and tastes of liquorice and chocolate, complimented by the generous infusion of prime Scottish raspberries. Hops: Bramling Cross. Bottle, January 2017. Tart, light sweet, essential raspberry aroma - haven't encountered such a beautiful raspberry aroma in any beer so far. The fruitiness sits atop an elegant chocolate aroma. Well, this is one of the best smelling beers I've had. The flavour is a bit less fruity and more, well, stouty. Dark chocolate, licorice, roast, light ash, a bit astringent finish. Some dry tartness from the raspberries, creamy mouthfeel. A beer dessert - raspberry imperial stout cream. Amazing.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2018 Fra flaske. Sort med brunt skum. Overraskende tydelig hindbær. Lækker, smooth smag. Kompleks og overraskende godt match mellem bær og brændt malt. Positiv oplevelse!

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2017 Lots of raspberries in aroma and taste, bit acidic, some good stout profile but in overall not that complex. Very drinkable, alcohol hidden.

Pours a deep black with thin tan head. Aromas of raspberries and full roasted malts, chocolate and some coffee. Taste is smooth, rich, a complex blend of fruitiness and slight sourness from the raspberries which feature prominently backed by chocolate and intense roasted malt flavours, plus some liquorice. Full bodied with gentle carbonation. Finish is slightly bitter with raspberry fruitiness lingering. Really enjoyable beer.

Turboninja (955) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 27, 2017
[email protected], Tampere, Finland. Batch 2013. Dominating first bite of raspberry, then IS nuances like licorice and a hint of slightly roasted malts. Still, nuances are superbly blended and in balanced order. Wide taste spectrum and long aftertaste with licorice and some raspberry. Medium/strong body with light/medium carbonation. Overall, a top notch product with a bit too dominating raspberry.

mabuzzer (982) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - OCT 15, 2017
500ml bottle. Thick, black beer with a generous tan head. Heavy raspberry and dark chocolate nose, carried through to the flavour. Like a raspberry cream from a box of chocolates. Very tasty indeed

Samtzu (651) - Palmerston North, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 14, 2017
500ml bottle. Pours a deep black with off white head. Sweet raspberry on the nose with hints of the alcohol lingering. Full body with strong raspberry at the front again fading to chocolates and other malt flavours. No noticible alcohol in the flavour.

Neat beige head deep dark red pour mild carbonation aromas raspberries chocolate caramel vanilla licorice rich fruit the flavours dark chocolate raspberries roast malty taste barley cocoa soy a salty taste what a harsh note really not to my liking very sickly or just too bad of a mix seems strongly too over done the main two tastes they have come out very against my palate sorry

3.6
Sjohnh (1033) - Coventry, West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2017
Dark with a trace of swirly beige head. Body medium to full. I'd prefer the raspberries to be more subtle; they're front and centre with the stout flavours a bit subdued. Dark chocolate comes through and provides lingering bitterness.
