Half, from keg at Craft Beer Co, Islington. Fading white head over a clear golden body. Pale malty aroma with grass. Dusty hops and pale malts in flavour. Smooth ending. Lightly oily palate. Clean and soft in the mouth. Easy going (London, 26.11.2012).

Muffig pappiger Würzsmell im LAGERstyle. Getreidig, lightly sweet und so gar nicht Kölsch. ESB !?!? Nicht so lecker :(.... MASTERCLASS. BRAUKUNST LIVE 2017. 0,15. Bottle.

Straw coloured beer with smal white head which disappears really fast. Little bit fruity and hopy. Aftertaste is boring.

Bottle, from the brewery. Bright golden colour, white foam. Tricky one Kolsch, this was clean enough and refreshing but lacked any real freshness or tantalising hop to get me really excited.

Aroma:
Slight aroma of malts, grain and hops.

Appearance:
Clear yellow/golden beer with a slight white head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts slightly sweet with malts, ends slightly dry with grain and hops.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense and balanced, but lacks complexity. Smells, looks, tastes and feels like a Pilsner. See a lot of people give it unreasonably high and I just cannot figure out why.

Tap at Highbury. Pleasant creaminess, nice and malty too. Light bitterness, easy drinking. Light citrus fruitiness with touch of caramel. Nice.
