Marstonlad (799) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 20, 2017
Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours dark brown with a little white head. The aroma features roasty dark maltiness, plenty of coffee and piney hoppiness. Taste is dryish and medium to heavily bitter. Malt backbone balances and supports the strong hoppiness that rises to the fore towards the finish. Flavours of pine, citrus fruits, coffee and licorice - standard BIPA. The palate is medium to heavily bodied and smooth. Fairly hoppy black IPA. Tasty.

Color negro con capa de espuma de un blanco sucio de dos dedos de grosor (retencin decente). No demasiada carbonatacin. Aroma ctrico y resinoso. Sabor ctrico, dominado por un amargor potente que no va in crescendo. Disfrutable y ya.

Bott from Cott. Maybe I really am going mad. Not so cocky now (Dubstar). Then again, perhaps such contemplation is a precise proof of general sentience and sound judgment. Tricky. Bit thin this beer. Rather too dry too. No sweet balance, smoothness or corrupting booze hit. Ok.

Bottle. Black with a small head. Hoppy with citrus and herb like flavours in the background. The finish was too bitter for my taste but still an excellent beer.

Black, big rocky head, looks perfect. Aroma: grapes, caramel, lime, coconut. Light to medium body, medium sweetness, high bitterness. Flavour softly fruity; grapes, dominated by hoppy and ashy finish. it appears lighter than 8.8% abv. Interesting choice of hops for a bipa
