0,33l bottle at home bought from Beergonzo. BB 02.11.2017. dark brown color, medium big tan head. smells licorice, earthy, leathery, quite bitter herbal, sage, chlorophyl, vanilla, nice smell, but with some weird side notes. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes peppery, light veggies, bit cardboardish, some coffee, earthy, leathery, rather bitter herbal, light resin. finishes dry and light to medium bitter with notes of licorice, earthy and coffee notes. good one, but I am not totally convinced about the balance, feels quite heavy too. overall drinkable though.

330ml bottle. Very dark brown with a good beige head. Aroma: herbal and floral hops, roasted malt, citrus, lemongrass. Taste: pretty much the same as the aroma, lightly roasted malt, some dark fruit, citrus, lemongrass and other herbs, floral. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. This is quite a herbal/floral BIPA which isnt really what I want from one, but fairly good nonetheless just not my thing.

Dark, tan head, leaving some lacing. Medium to full body. Nose is a restrained version of the taste, which has dark fruits on top of a range of malt flavours from biscuit to lightly toasted. Higher ABV is well hidden.

Pullo @ Alko. Kaatuu IPA-lasiin colanruskeana ja kirkkaana, muhkealla yli kolmen sormen paksuisella vaahdolla. Tuoksussa vahvimpana on sitrus, jonka mukana on havuista otetta ja makeampaa hedelm. Humalointi siis edell, mutta maltaisuus tarjoaa hieman makeaa maitosuklaata. Yllttvn mieto maltaisuus kuitenkin tuoksussa nin vahvaksi. Maku on jo huomattavasti maltaisempi, kahvia ja suklaata lytyy reilusti, nyt aromihumalointi j jalkoihin yritten tuoda puista ja yrttist otetta joukkoon. Suutuntuma on katkerahko, mutta yllttvn karkea. Aivan kuin humalointi olisi hieman turhan veri maltaisuuteen nhden. Keskinkertainen BIPA, joka on varmaan ihan parhaat pivns ainakin aromikkuuden puolesta nhnyt. Karhea ja hieman eptasapainoton yleisilme.

Bottle from Cambridge Wine Merchants, Bridge Street. Not black but very dark burgundy/brown. Small bit of loose tan head on top. Light aroma of violets, bruised malts, woodsmoke. Not a typical BIPA. Nor does it taste like a typical BIPA: its bitter, almost burned, slightly smoky, and noticeably boozy. Floral and lavender notes come later, with a finish laden with artisanal bitters. Bitter scorched aftertaste. Well-carbonated, medium body. Slightly weird, and the burned-ness of the malt takes it down a notch, but otherwise worth trying.

rodsquad (177) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - APR 4, 2017
Bottle from Beerhawk. Pours deep dark ruby brown with tall light tan head. Nose has a bit of fruity bubblegum, blackcurrant and wine gums. Flavours counter with strong bitter roast front and clean pine hop building the bitterness against the soft fruit nose. It has a soft and light body with a refreshing moderate sparkle. This has an incredible blend of soft fruity sweetness and strong roast chocolate bitterness balancing on an edge of pine freshness. Very nice.

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy dark brown color with medium soapy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of mild roasted malt. melon, orange, bubblegum and vanilla. Taste starts with medium sweet mild roasted malt and caramel, follows by refreshing citrus, mild tropical fruit and coffee, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Rich malty, however still very refreshing...

Aromat: przyjemny, głwnie czekolada z kawą, w tle chmielowe cytrusy i żywice. Piwo smaczne i pijalne
