Tap at the Cask, Pimlico - 03/09/12. Clear golden with a medium off-white head. Hops, pine, tropical fruits on the nose. Taste as nose with caramel malt backbone. Medium bodied and carbonation leading to a bitter sweet finish.

On tap at Craft Islington. Clear mid gold with lasting white head. Yes now us a nicely hoppy ipa. Almost on the radox side of piney. Not a huge aroma. Sherberty hops in mouth. Just a crash of piney grapefruit and lemon. Pretty damn good and a sublime ipa from an English brewer. Lovely. More please barman. Hides abv well.

Bottle 500ml (Beer Hunters). Golden color, slightly hayish, decent white head, lace. Dry grassy and oily aroma. Medium-bodied. Resin, some citrus, reasonably long aftertaste. Unfortunately quite simple and not very westcoastish. Dissapointment from Thornbridge.

Tap (Schrammi Keller, Tartu)
Lovely fruity hop aroma, but plenty of sweet caramelly malts too. Portends some stickiness or stodginess. Initial taste did show some signs of that, a bit of starchiness in the malts, but otherwise malty grainy, a little nutty, quite bitter. Some white peppery bitterness in the finish. Stays on the tongue for a while, but opens up to full leafy hop flowers. Reminds me of the midget hops we used to brew with. Covers the 7% well. Nice reclaim of the IPA style back onto English soil - I could run with this version.

Bottled, 500ml from The Coach House Stores and Post Office, Castleton, Derbys. Hazed gold with white head. There is a slightly fuller malty character to this, crisp, biscuity the a touch hay like. The hops come through with a citrus punch, zesty, bittering, juicy. Really decent.

Scopey (13311) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 11, 2012
Keg at Craft Beer Co Brixton. It pours amber with a medium white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, peach, Irn Bru, pine, grass and floral notes. The taste is sweet orange, zesty, grapefruit, peach, resin, pine, Irn Bru and Parma Violets with a bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and slightly syrupy mouth-feel. Tasty stuff.
