500mL bottle. Pours pitch black with a big dense off white head that last and lasts. Light sweet chocolate and citrus fruit on the nose with a massive complex flavour, burnt toffee, chocolate, stone fruit to name a few. Very nice beer. Creedence (323) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 4, 2013
500ml bottle from Abbot’s Ale House, enjoyed with friends. Pours a burnt black with a tan head. Looks lovely and appetising. Aroma is huge, with lots of toast, cocoa, a hint of coffee, and lovely pine resin hop notes. Really enticing. Taste doesn’t dissapoint with a really spot on black IPA balance between the roasted malty nature of it and the bright fruity and floral hops. The finish is quite dry and bitter, but again in a quite citric and fruity way. Very pleasant. A nice full beer, in aroma, flavour and mouthfeel. Can’t wait to drink it again. allmyvinyl (11407) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 29, 2013
500ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours dark brown, near black, with thin white head and lacing. Aromas of dark chocolate and pineapple, orange and lemon, light tobacco. Taste has good bitterness from hops and dark malts, and a decent sweetness too. Texture is creamy, medium bodied, and just finishes bitter enough. Cracking stuff. Clear dark brown almost black appearance with medium strong head. Nose reveals roasted malt, pine and resin with a bit of citrus. Buttery and creamy taste, slightly sweet with pronounced bitter finish. Well rounded, very good black IPA style.

Aroma: Tangerine with an undertone of herbs and an edge of dark malt. Develops a hint of washing-up liquid.
Appearance: Black opaque body with deep red edges, minimal tan head.
Taste: Honey and lemon with a touch of liquorice leaving a slight roasted bitterness.
Palate: Medium bodied with a slight oiliness and solid carbonation. A dank clingy finish.
Overall: Smells American, tastes British. More IPA than black. Habanero (4975) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - OCT 8, 2013
