White Gold Pale Ale
Wild Swan is white gold in colour with aromas of light bitter lemon, a hint of herbs and a subtle spiciness. A great refreshing beer.

Quack-Duck's rating

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Quack-Duck (9540) - Down South, - AUG 9, 2012
Bottle from Waitrose Sidmouth. Hazy yellow, mid-sized head, a promising resiny citrusy hop aroma is hovering over the glass. Light-bodied, shy malt flavours, very, very nice and intensive dry, grassy, resiny and citrusy hops with a nearly endless bitter finish

Godfather50 (270) - SCOTLAND - JAN 14, 2018
At 3.5% ABV this is an accomplished brew. Little on the nose, I was almost expecting a Saison. But bags of floral and then spivey flavour. Nothing watery about this Pale Ale. Plenty of bitterness giving a raspy finish. Slight over carbonation is forgiven in this otherwise superb light Ale.

Cimbasso (1056) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2017
Clear golden colour with no head. Very low carbonation. A lightish beer with little aroma. Taste is light malts and lemon. Grassy bitterness. Not bad flavour for a low ABV beer.

Very weak and very muted, but in a somewhat delicate way. Not bad, but not the best from Thornbridge, by a long shot.

MMR (832) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 21, 2017
I am usually a fan of Thronbridge but was rather led down by this beer. It's low aromatic and drinks like a rather plain ale.

sarauckelman (550) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2017
Clear lemon yellow with no head. Mild aroma with hints of lemon and grain. Hoppy flavor leaving a strong bitter aftertaste. Would be decent on a hot day; on a cold Durham autumn evening, it's unremarkable.

uckelman (813) - Durham, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2017
Pours slightly hazy, pale golden. Thin film of head. Aroma is citrus. Flavor is lemon and grains. Light body.

ciocanelu (3090) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - AUG 16, 2017
Crystal clear bright straw color with white head. Aroma has grains and some spoiled lemons (not in a bad way) along slightly dank hops. Taste has at first just a hint of lemon and not much else but the hops intensify towards the finish with grassy bitterness that dries the palate and lingers on the aftertaste. Light body, medium carbonation. At first it seems quite watery but overall I get what they were aiming for with this beer and I think they succeeded.

radassace (424) - SCOTLAND - AUG 12, 2017
330ml bottle from Tesco. Pours almost champagne colour with a tiny white head. hazy, unfiltered. Light carbonation. Nose is lemon, melon, pink grapefruit, straw and a floral spiciness. Light but slightly sticky texture. Taste is straw, citrus, lemon, grapefruit and floral hops. Medium bitter finish. Really tasty for a low abv beer, and a refreshing summer beer.

javiercrasher (703) - Granada, SPAIN - AUG 10, 2017
Cítrica y herbal. Ligeramente amarga. Muy suave. Para beber por litros. BOTTLE. BB 25/05/2018
