375ml bottle. Citrus aroma with some vinous notes as well as some Brett funk. Pours clear orange colored with no head whatsoever. Starts with tart lemon citrus flavors with a lively, highly carbonated mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with some vinous flavor to go with the sour Brett funk that permeates throughout the end and lingers on the palate. Pretty nice sour.

375ml bottle from Elise. 5000th rate! Unfiltered dulled orange-copper body. Not much of a head, not much carbonation at all, mellow cask feel. It is definitely citrusy and bright, a lot of puckering lemon and lime. Quite reminiscent of St. Louis Gueuze, maybe a little more sour. Captures some of the barnyard, wheaty essence of a classic lambic, which most sours seems to forget about. Intense, but also quite delicious. Exceeded my expecations, well done. The puckering vinegar, acetone notes come out more and more, and I lowered the score some for that.

Bottle. Spicy, herbal nose. Tart lemon and hibiscus. Red-brown color, flat. Very dry flavor, sour, light crisp. Doesn’t really go anywhere.

maekchu (4024) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JUL 1, 2014
Bottles. Thanks to Chris H. Cinnamon, sour fruit, some earthiness and funk in the nose. Dark copper color. Big sour fruits hit hard and fast... and then dissipate quickly. Some cactus and pepper. Thin and acidic. Okay. Starts out fine, but doesn’t go much beyond the initial flavors.

Orange pour with a white head. The aroma is full of ginger and toffee. The flavor has some ginger, sour lemons, biscuit and wheat. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
