Bottle thanks to Dirty D. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, cocoa, plain chocolate, earthy, liquorice, umami, plum, date and prune. The taste is bitter - sweet, sticky, prune, date, plum, fig, jammy, earthy roast, light spice and salted liquorice with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent enough stout, but no game - changer. Theydon_Bois (21466) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 19, 2016

Taste comprises chocolate, spice, biscuit, dark berry fruit, earthy.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close.
Ok stout. Hoponmate (309) - NEW ZEALAND - JUL 27, 2016
A pitch black beer with a lot of taste. Lovely dark roasted malts. A lovelly brine taste to finish. Perfect example of a stout. mabel (10004) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 2, 2016

[8427-20160531] Tap. Old banana skin in the aroma with a bunch of roasted grains. Black cola body with a quick foamy mocha head. Tangy roasty banana malt flavour. Full body. Good. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

2016-05-31. Black body, modest tan head. 3+ Aroma has light roast and dusty malt, whispers of cocoa and a light (presumably) oyster based twang. Notes of banana that I didn’t notice until after Mabel points it out. Flavour is a touch odd. Sort of milk stout like tang, maybe from the oysters? Very light roast. Smooth average to thin bodied palate, soft to low carbonation. The overall impression is thinner than my preference for a stout. Decent enough just not to my own tastes. 6/3-4/6/3/12 On tap at 16 Tuns, Auckland, NZ.

Bottle. Black with a medium head. Creamy and smooth with some maltiness. A classy so easy to drink stout. ant_in_wales (26) - Aberystwyth, WALES - JAN 1, 2016
Had this on draught six months ago at Hare & Billett, London, and my missus just bought me four bottles for Xmas because I’m still going on about it.
Time often tricks the mind, but I was right - spectacular.
It’s complex and sets off all of your mouth at different times - sweet, then salty, then malty.
Looks brilliant too.
It’s my birthday soon, love. RichTheVillan (8443) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2015
Keg at the Craven Arms; dark opaque brown pour with a thin tan head, chocolate and roast malt aroma, taste has rich chocolate, hint of coffee, bold malt character, very good. Grumbo (4262) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - DEC 3, 2015
Bottle shared at the Ale House, Chelmsford. Pours close to black with a tan head. Moderate aroma of coffee, chocolate, malt, and sea-salt. Medium sweetness and bitterness, with a light saltiness. Medium+ body, slick texture, soft carbonation. The oyster comes through the more you get through it. Decent if a little less spectacular than had been hoped. Pours like engine oil. Very dark brown with a thick, foaming beige head. Aroma of dried fruit and dark chocolate. Taste starts dry with notes of cigar ash, coffee and chocolate. Fruit flavours follow with hints of vine fruits, port and brandy. Good dry finish. A lovely, complex beer. Highly drinkable.
