COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three Boys Pilsner is a taste of Europe with a new world twist. Like the pilsners of old, it balances pale malt flavour and saaz hop bitterness. The Three Boys take it a step further using modern varieties of saaz hops grown in New Zealand, which give it that little bit extra aroma and flavour.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2017 500 ml bottle. BB 31/May/2017. Thanks Timo A!
Cloudy pale golden color with a small white head. Fresh grassy and fruity hops, dryness, bitterness and some grainy maltiness in the aroma. Nice. The flavor is grassy hops, moderate bitterness and grainy malt. Quite alright.

Can. My first from this brewery and what a start. Golden very clear appearance. Smooth creamy and crisp flavour. Some hoppiness as well. How can a pils be so tasty -its a miracle. And its in a can-fantastic.

A grower. First aroma and taste are disappointing for those of us with little class. It could be any euro-slosh from a green bottle. But after a few sips, it starts expanding, the hay, grass, hops, bread dough, and touch of lemon become more 3-D, without any tacky show-boating. The light, not over-done malt, the good not over-done level of bitterness, the long dry finish mitigated by a touch of sweetly sour lemon conspire to make this an under-stated gem which I can’t wait to try again. Extra point for its reasonable price.

Keg at the CP&K, 17/03/15. Clear golden blonde with a well presented white cap that stays for the show. Nose is cereal, pale malts, bread dough, straw, lemon zest. Taste comprises bread dough, fresh pastry, vanilla essence, sweet tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light grassy bitterness in the close. Decent clean pils.

Can from Coppers, Newcastle. Slightly hazy pale golden in colour with a gentle grassy and delicate floral fruity flavour followed by toffee and sweet citrus on the finish.

Can from at Cotteridge Wines; clear amber pour with a creamy white head, aroma has lemon and some malty action, taste has clean malts, along with honey a hint of citrus, refreshing.
