3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy pale gold with large white pillowy head that lingers.
Lemon zest, coriander, pepper and ginger on the nose. Quite a bouquet, perhaps a bit over-pronounced.
Moderately sour with low bitterness.
Low-medium body with a lasting slightly cloying finish.
Enjoyable beer which promises a whole lot. IMO wouldn’t take too much to tweak this into a great local example of the style.
On tap at the Lumsden. Pours hazy and very pale. Coriander, orange, bubblegum, synthetic grape, pepper. No attempt at subtlety, but still pretty tasty. Skarecrow (1045) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 31, 2016
Subdued citrus hoppy pine aroma.
Poured pale gold with slight haze - most of the tear remained on the bottom of the bottle.
The taste was the surprise here - very slight phenolic palate with mild bitterness and a clean finish.
Hoegaarden this ain’t so if you are a real wheat beer snob - avoid.
Otherwise it was OK.
A Wheat beer for people who don’t really like wheat beers.

Rather a nasty, sweet and spicy little beer. The bar had a limited range and this looked like a safe bet, but alas was not. I normally find Wit beer OK, but is not my favourite style. If you’re a hop junkie considering a taste this for a change of scene - don’t. 2 colleagues also turned their noses up. 1 was a connoisseur and the other a peasant, but same result anders37 (27588) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 5, 2016

330ml Can from Bottle Bank, Falmouth. Clear, pale gold with medium white head. Not a bad attempt at a wit, some fuzzy zest but perhaps an overly spicy finish. Still, quite nice. johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2015
Can. Clear yellow with spices and citrus blending together to produce a very interesting beer.I am not really a fan of this style but this is an excellent beer no matter what style it is. Cant believe you can get so much flavour into a can. zacgillbanks (5651) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JUL 17, 2015
